Location
The 2013 conference will be held in two locations: one in Hampton, VA and one in Norfolk, VA.
On Thursday, September 26th, 2013, the conference events will be held at the Hampton Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia. The convention center location will allow us to bring events to the upper peninsula and Thursday will feature speakers, conference roundtable sessions, performances and tours of important sites in Hampton including Emancipation Oak and Old Point Comfort.
On Friday, September 27th, 2013, the conference events will return to Norfolk State University’s New Student Center. Events on Friday include speakers, conference roundtable discussions and performances.
We hope expanding the conference to a new venue in 2013 will allow our conference attendees to explore two beautiful, historic cities and encourage more local residents to attend. We will be setting up Ride Sharing and other transportation options to make both days easier to attend for visitors to our area and locals alike. See you there!
